First, donate to the INADCure Foundation. We’d love to see you credit your donation to the “Give 5 Challenge” team during check-out, but it’s not required.
Then, record a Give 5 Challenge video and post to TikTok, Instagram, or Facebook. If you need help with this or don’t use social media, see tips in the drop-downs below.
In addition to your donation, it is critical that you challenge 5 people to participate. The more challengers, the more likely we will together fund the gene therapy that children with INAD desperately need.
-
SAY:
”This is our video for the Give 5 Challenge. Let’s Give 5 to wave goodbye to INAD. Don’t forget to donate!”DO:
A high-five and a wave. You can keep it simple or get super creative!WRITE:
Copy/paste the bolded caption below, and don’t forget to tag the 5 people you challenge at the end. If you want, you can also SAY who you challenge in the video.@give5challenge #give5challenge - INAD is a devastating disorder described as Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s for young children. Gene therapy is within reach, but they NEED funding. I donated to the INADCure Foundation. It’s time to Give 5 to wave goodbye to INAD. I challenge @…
EXTRA REMINDERS:Don’t forget to actually donate!
Consider adding our “theme” song. It’s “I’m Down” by Meghan Trainor starting at 2min 19sec or the final chorus. (Here’s a video re: how to do that on Instagram.)
You might also share the link to donate to the INADCure Foundation in your caption, bio, story — wherever you can!
We will post example videos from the Give 5 community on this page as they become available (with permission, of course).
-
Of course, you can always just donate and not share a video. But the videos help get the word out. Here are a few alternatives to using social media:
You can share your Give 5 video in a text or email with as many contacts as you can.
If you’d rather use our original Give 5 Challenge video from Instagram —the post that started it all—just copy the link below and paste it into the text of your message.
-
You can help this challenge EXPLODE by asking your neighbors, bus drivers, local baseball teams, kid’s cheer teams, schools, politicians, social media influencers, or businesses to donate and film their own video. Some workplaces will even match donations.
Some of the best videos and donations have been from organizations challenging other organizations (e.g., fire departments, police departments, high schools, and more).

Want to get creative but not sure how to start? Here are some ideas for you to share with your fundraising friends.
Pets: Your furry friends want to get involved, too! High-five your pet.
Schools: Have the whole stadium high-five during your next Friday night sporting event.
Baseball teams: Hit the home run and high-five every player while rounding the bases.
Cheer / dance teams: High-five at the end of a tumbling pass.
Pep rallies: Make your next pep rally a fundraiser for the Give 5 Challenge. Include a rally game focused on high-fives.
Musicians: Play a duet of our challenge song (“I’m Down” by Meghan Trainor, from the bridge at 2min 19sec to the final chorus) and high-five your partner — virtually or in-person!
